Forth Bridges: Autumn Sunrise > 111007 Bridges-377
My latest dawn adventure was back in the Homeland again, with the dramatic backdrop of the Forth Bridges at South Queensferry, near Edinburgh.

The sun rose behind the famous rail bridge with some very dramatic oranges and pinks. The initial spell after sunrise was a bit disappointing as the sun moved behind low cloud and left behind some very dull, gray and flat light. Thankfully after a fab breakfast at the "Ravenous Beastie", the sun decided to come out again and gave some brilliant early morning sunshine for my first walk onto the Forth Road Bridge.

Having crossed the bridge many hundreds of times by car, it was great to finally get a real close up view on foot and I even ended up flat on my back trying to get dramatic shots of the support towers and cables against the brilliant blue sky. Look out also for the shots of the maintenance man with an incredible head for heights as he climbs the main cable support towards the tower - madness !!!
